The Polish language citizenship exam consists of two parts: written and oral. It checks whether you can communicate in Polish in typical everyday situations. The required level is at least B1 (according to CEFR).

The exam consists of two parts:

  1. The written part, where you complete listening, reading comprehension, and short writing tasks such as an email, announcement, or short description. It lasts about 110 minutes.
  2. The oral part involves a conversation with the examiner – for example, about yourself, your family, work, or plans. It lasts about 15 minutes.

The exam is conducted in a calm atmosphere. You don’t have to speak perfectly – what matters is that you can communicate.

2. Where and when is the exam held?

The exam is organized several times a year (usually 3–4 sessions annually) in certified centers across Poland. Centers are located in Warsaw, Kraków, Lublin, Białystok, Wrocław, and other major cities.

The exam schedule and list of centers are available on the official website: www.certyfikatpolski.pl

3. Do I need to register for the exam? How can I do that?
